CALLEJON are a five piece Zombiecore band from Cologne, Germany, blasting their way through the overgrown and excessive music scene since 2003.
Combining both annihilating metal and emotional melodies, CALLEJON prove their uniqueness by writing straight-forward yet very catchy music. Being far away from the stereotype that is Metalcore, copy cats and clichés of today's metal scene, the band creates an independent, self-contained sound with German lyrics that are going to turn the music business inside out. It is not just music, it is way more. A conceptual work of art that takes all listeners on an infamous trip through harebrained artworks and layouts, lyrics and music that won't stop until the very last note.
After releasing two EP´s and one full-length album, playing many club shows, festivals and support tours, CALLEJON have gained a huge and loyal fanbase, aiming for more!
The first track "Zombiefied" shows the band´s new musical direction. CALLEJON have come a long way since their first demo and now have reached the very top of their present producing.
"Zombiefied" perfectly combines the band's "old" style with new song structures and ideas, throwing punches right into your face. There couldn't be any better opening track, you'll see! "Phantomschmerz" is the most incisive and exceptional track CALLEJON have done so far, as well as the quiet singer-songwriter ballad "Fremdkörper", marking the beginning of a new era. Singer Basti has approached a new level of melodic singing that shows the band in a completely different way.
Track 13, "Porn From Spain", brings the album to a perfect end by featuring Germany's infamous yet popular Hip Hop legend K.I.Z.
The new album is a sick and dangerous virus creeping from the land of the undead towards daylight in order to infect the music scene as well as the fans.
All you people sitting in executive chairs, having sucked everything out of the music itself for far too long... beware! "We´re young, you´re old"! ZOMBIEFIED - a new era has been born!
On November 21st "Zombie Action Hauptquartier" will be released via Nuclear Blast Records, produced by Eike Freese at Eikey-Studios Hamburg.
